Are you up for\nan adventure?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not like\nseeing the Grand Canyon, nor is it like going to an acclaimed restaurant for\nthe first time. This is an adventure of the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can venture\ninto it wherever you may be. It\u2019s an adventure into the supernatural, into\nwholesomeness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If it knocks\nyour socks off, so to speak, it will only be in a tender, quiet way. This\nadventure takes place in your mind and heart and in Scripture. It begins when\nyou pick a passage from the Good Book, as they call it, whether one verse or\nseveral, and read it from time to time, perhaps daily or whenever you have a\nmoment. Start with the first phrase or sentence. In a few days, or longer\n(there\u2019s no hurry), you may be able to repeat it in your heart. Then add the\nnext phrase, then the next until the passage begins to become part of your\nconsciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the adventure\nunfolds, you may notice a word., or a few words, or a thought in the passage\nthat begins to affect your life and connect you to the heavenly Father. As you\nbecome intimately familiar with the words of the passage, the Holy Spirit may\nbegin to use it to enhance your thoughts, your relationships, your endeavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some time later,\nyou may gain another revelation or two from the passage. You may sense that it\nis helping to undergird your life, as if helping you to stay afloat amid the\nflow of your daily experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You may be\nstirred to repeat this adventure with another passage, then another, perhaps on\ndifferent topics such as prayer, your integrity as a person, your hurts and\nstruggles, the quality of your friendships, your readiness to help others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At some point,\nwhether early on or later in the journey, you may be stirred to know how all\nthis relates to God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit, how faith is\na core dynamic in human well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Far different\nthan the Grand Canyon or an extraordinary meal, this adventure can be ongoing,\ntransforming you into a precious child of God, a tender soul always ready to\nventure into new revelations of divine, eternal significance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
